Lucy Loves | March 2013

Hey Lovelies! Better late than never!!

This is going to be a new section on my Blog called 'Lucy Loves' (hence the title) and it's basically just a monthly favorites post with a bit of a personal twist, there will be a 'beauty loves' section and a 'random loves' section in every post.

Beauty Loves:

1. Soap and Glory sugar crush body scrub, this is the best scrub I have ever tried, not only does it leave your skin flake free and extremely soft but it also has a really lovely fruity scent too!

2. World famous neutrals palette by Benefit, I've been loving this palette so much this month! I've been wearing the colours almost everyday as they're very wearable and suitable for everyday use.

3. The rocket mascara by Maybeline, I don't usually like mascaras with plastic applicators because I feel like they don't grab all the lashes and coat them properly, but I'd read really great reviews about this one and they weren't wrong! I love it and it makes my eyelashes look really long and full.

4. Revlon balm stains, These are my favorite lip products at the moment because they're really moisturizing and the colours are realy bright and last all day!

5.Pastel nail polishes, I absolutely love pastel colours for the spring and summer months and I've been buying so many pastel nail varnishes recently and they're just a few of my favorites.

Random Loves:
For some reason I wasn't able to upload a photo for this one but here's a list:
1. Dorset cereals chocolate and macadamia bars, omg these are fab because they taste really really yummy and chocolatey and sweet but they aren't super bad for you which is great!

2. Green Tea! (no particular brand) I tried green tea for the first time a few weeks ago and I loved it because it just tastes so good!

3. Painting, I've always loved art but this month I've been playing around with paints and I've just really been loving it so yeah, I thought I'd include that.

So that's everything I've been loving this month. I'm sorry its rather late but better late than never eh??

My Life | My option subjects...

Hey Lovelies!

So in my last post I mentioned that I was in year 9 and had just chosen my option subjects that I am going to be studying in year 10 and 11, and in this post I'll be going into more detail about the subjects I chose and why.

At my school we are allowed to choose 6 subjects, not including Maths English and Philosophy(ew), I immediately put Art and Textiles down as I've always had an interest in fashion and design, I also put down triple Science because I do really enjoy it! I also chose Geography and Spanish so that I could qualify for an e-bacc providing I get a minimum grade of a C in all my GCSE's, because I chose triple Science I didn't get to chose a sixth subject but that didn't really bother me at all.
I'm really hoping I've made all the right choices because I'm not 100% sure about what I want to do when I leave school but I think these subjects will give me wide range of options in the future.

Well this post was rather boring but it was requested, and I like to try and help my followers as much as I can, so I hope you found it helpful and gave you a few ideas about what options you might like to take.

I have just ordered a ton of thing of ebay for really great prices, so when they all arrive I shall do a little haul post :-)

My life | where I've been/what I'm doing...

Hey my lovelies!

I wish I had some fantastic, interesting excuse for not posting but I really don't, I'm mostly just incredibly lazy and up to my eyeballs with homework and other things us teenagers have to cope with, so I just wrote this post to let you all know that I am still alive but I just haven't posted in while because life seems to be taking over so blogging is really at the bottom of my to-do list.

As I'm in year 9 I have just selected my option subjects that I'm going to study over the next two years, I found it fairly easy to choose these subjects as I had a fairly clear image of what I want to do when I leave school (I can do another post on that if you'd like) and I decided that it's time to knuckle down and try harder with my school work as I do find my self slacking a bit, so as an effect of this my posts will be less frequent but I will try to post about once a week.

So, there's a little explanation for you guys, thankyou all so much for sticking with me, I really appreciate it :)

My Life | !! ONE DIRECTION !!

Hey Lovelies!

I must be the worst blogger ever, I'm so irregular with my posts but today I came home from school and I thought that you lovely, lovely people deserved to know about my One Direction concert experience, by the way if you don't like One Direction please don't feel like you have to read this post.

So on Saturday I went to my first ever One Direction concert in Cardiff with my friend, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was actually the best night of my life.
We got to the venue pretty early so that we would be able to buy merchandise, after we brought all our little bits and bobs we headed over to the side door to queue up and we ended up waiting about 2 hours before we were actually let in.
Once we were inside there was quite long wait before the first supporting act came on, her name was Camryn, once she had finished performing their second supporting act 5 Seconds of  Summer came on, they were amazing!
Then finally the boys came on and sang Up All Night to get us all in the party mood (hehe).
Here's the setlist so that I don't have to write all the songs out:

I don't think they were in exactly this order.
During One way or another (performed on the second stage) the most amazing thing happened, Liam Payne waved at me! It was so crazy, I was totally overwhelmed and I started to cry (please, I can't help being a fangirl) luckily my friend had a tissue to hand so was able to wipe my face, but then, I guess Liam must have seen me in hysterics because he pointed towards me and he had a rather concerned look on his face, it was so sweet, and exiting and wow!
A lot of other amazing and funny things happened during the show but I'm not going to talk about all of them otherwise this post will be way too long.

And they came even closer to us!
It still doesn't feel real now, it just feels like a massive dream, but it was a truly amazing experience, and if you are going to see them or anyone else in concert please just take in every moment because its so so special.

Well done for making to the end guys!

Hey Lovelies!

I haven't posted in ages! I'm so sorry but I've been caught up with school and stuff (again).
So today my mum and dad decided to go for a walk on the beach with my dog and then go and get a hot drink afterwards, so I said I'd go with them, and whilst I was out I managed to get a decent photo of my outfit, so of course that concluded in me now writing this outfit of the day post (stop blabbing now luce).

What's in my makeup bag ?...

Hey Lovelies!

I realize that I did already make one of these posts but when I was giving my blog a bit of a makeover I deleted it because I didn't like the layout ect. So today in this post I'll be telling you about my everyday makeup and what makeup I like to carry around with me.

The Collection 2000, Lasting Perfection concealer is absolutely amazing! It's quite famous in the beauty blogging world, It's amazing for covering dark under-eye circles and other facial blemishes.
I also have this You Rebel tinted moisturizer from Benefit which I love because it's light but still gives good coverage and a smooth finish to my skin.
When I'm having a bad skin day I like to use this Bobbi Brown foundation because the coverage is so good and it doesn't clog up my skin too much.
I love the Clinique face powder so much because it keeps my face matte all day and it feels so light on my skin.
I also have Browzings from Benefit and I use this to fill in my eyebrows everday, I have the medium shade and it maches the colour of my brows perfectly and it lasts all day!
I have lots of mascaras but this Pump up the volume one from collection 2000 is by far my favorite because it adds length, volume and curls my lashes at the same time!
And last but not least this Revlon colour burst lip butter in Peach Parfait is so pretty, its a light pink colour with flecks of gold in it, it keeps my lips moist and shiny throughout the day and I just love it.

So they're the makeup products that I use everyday and I hope you enjoyed this post.

My Life | London!

Hey Lovelies!

Wow! So, yesterday I went on a History trip to London with some of the other pupils in my year and In this post I'll be telling you all about what we did and my outfit which you know I had quite a lot of trouble deciding on.

We started our 5 hour journey at 6am (I know!) and the coach journey was so fun! I always find the journey better than the actual trip because you have plenty of time to have a laugh with friends, we finally arrived in London at around 11 and took a short walk to the Churchill War Rooms where we were able to look at the underground bunker from where the 2nd World War was manged.
Then we walked over to Trafalgar Square to eat lunch, and while we were there Sam and the Whomp  were filming a promo video for their tour and they asked some of us to 'whomp' with them, unfortunately I was too busy taking photos of the fountain and I didn't realize who they were until they walked off (Just my luck).

The last thing we did was totally amazing! we spoke to a Holocaust survivor, his story was so inspirational and I was just... amazed, and then when he had finished speaking to us we got a chance to look around the Jewish Museum which was rather boring.
We set off for home at around 5pm and about an hour into our journey we stopped in a services to gt some dinner and I brought a KFC, a bag of m&ms and a Starbucks caramel machiato.
When we got back on the coach me an my friend made a cheeky change to the seats in front because the boys behind us were kicking the back of seats haha!
It was such a great day and experience and I hope that all of you have had a chance to experience something like this or will have a chance in the future!

Outfit;

Cardgan: Asos
Top: Topshop
Jeans: Topshop
Shoes: Converse

Welldone for reading all they way to the end! I hope you enjoyed this post, London is a truly fantastic place!
